MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of APAA is to serve orphaned students in Kenya, by providing opportunities for them to realize their potential as contributing citizens and life-long learners. In cooperation with students, parents and community, we are committed to helping each student acquire academic skills, prepare for the world of work, in all areas of the universal work force from the cooperate to the entertainment world and while doing so, develop attributes of citizenship necessary in a democratic society. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe environment that promotes individual responsibility, personal achievement, and respect for all individuals. We are here to educate the whole student—the artist and the scholar. The school will boarding school, with a clinic attached and be 100% free to all students.
ABOUT ABUKUTSA PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMYThe school is a boarding school, serving children from pre-school age to high school. The children will receive a full academic curriculum including selected arts and sports programs. Kenya has more than one million people living with HIV/AIDS (1.2 million as of the end of 2003). HIV is spread primarily through heterosexual sex in Kenya. In 2003 100,000 children were estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS, and there were an estimated 650,000 orphans. With these numbers increasing APAA is committed to educating these orphans, giving them a chance to live up to their fullest potentials. APAA will have a clinic on site at the school that will take care of any and all medical needs.
Dormitories will have showers, baths, restrooms lounge and reading rooms. There will be a dining/cafeteria area and play area for the younger children, with swings, slides, monkey bars etc. Each art and sports department will be fully equipped.

APAA is relaying completely on private and cooperate donations. Our goal is to build a fully functioning boarding school, with a full performing arts department, sports department including a swimming pool, tennis courts, track and field/football field etc., fully equipped classrooms, a fully equipped clinic to treat children and staff...(see school blue print.) Hire qualified faculty and staff. Keep the complex running, bills paid, students flourishing...
